Glindas Closet Corporation
Glinda's Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free Halloween costumes to kids in need. Like Glinda herself, we believe in the power of good deeds. So we started Glinda’s Closet, a nonprofit, to bring the joy of dressing up for Halloween to underprivileged kids in our nearby communities. Our fiendish plans: We are collecting new and gently used kids’ costumes year-round. And we’re also taking donations to fund more costumes. Then we’ll distribute them at fun-filled local events where kids can come in, browse our stellar closet, try on costumes and go home with one. We’re starting with our neighboring communities in Genesee and Oakland County for now, with the goal of eventually branching out through these counties, then all of metro Detroit, then statewide.
