BAINBRIDGE ISLAND ROWING
Bainbridge Island Rowing is a 501(c)(3) organization working to build a multi-generational Kitsap County rowing community from our base at the Stan Pocock Legacy Rowing Center in historic Eagle Harbor. Since BIR’s 2001 start with high school students in a single boat, we have helped change hundreds of lives through the positive physical, psychological, social and sporting impact of rowing. To bring these benefits to a broader community, our USRowing-affiliated organization is building the first permanent rowing center in the West Sound, a region of 250,000 residents just west of Seattle. BIR’s motto is “Rowing Changes Lives”, and we live it every day through youth and adult training, coaching, and education programs, and by participating in local, regional, and national competitions.
