OUR GOALS FOR STUDENTS ARE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, INTELLECTUAL FREEDOM, SOCIAL AWARENESS, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE NATURAL WORLD. MANHATTAN COUNTRY SCHOOL IS UNIQUE AMONG NYC INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS IN HAVING A 180 ACRE WORKING FARM INTEGRAL TO THE CURRICULUM AND A SLIDING SCALE FOR TUITION.

Today, 8-9s students are heading to the @manhattancountryschoolfarm Farm with a very special cargo — the trout they’ve hatched and raised over the fall and winter. This afternoon, they’ll release them into the East Branch of the Delaware River in Roxbury, NY, marking the culmination of their hard work and a step toward conservation. 🐟🌿 This hands-on program is made possible through a partnership with the @catskillwatershedcorporation and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
