And forwomen in Assam a loom isalso a way topreserve their culturalheritage. But for many artisans the looms they use are old and with repeated wear and tear the quality offabric lacks the quality to compete for a modern consumer. To help these artisans make their craft practice viable in acontemporary market we donated new looms that are better quality and will help many of these artisans continue to practice their traditional craft.
