Last Christmas ❤️ (fb)

Yesterday I had a sick girl, a needy infant, music lessons on zoom for the well children and a kitchen overflowing with the side effects of the yearly sauerkraut making project. My littles had been wanting me to go see the puppies in the field for days and I just hadn’t carved out the time. Leaving the house to repair later is generally against my value system. But what I’ll remember about these days is not what time of day I finished the sauerkraut. It will be the golden moments like these. So I loaded up the sick girl and the needy infant in the double stroller and we spent the remaining hour of the golden day in the field with puppies and smiles. The sick girl raised her head and looked around at me on our way home. “Isn’t this nice Mommy?” Oh yes, it is beautiful- in every way. (P.S.
