Children for Change is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people to become change-makers with the knowledge, confidence, and empathy needed to make a positive impact in their world. Mission and Vision
The mission of Children for Change is to empower youth to become global change-makers with the knowledge, confidence, and empathy necessary to positively influence the world. They envision a just and inclusive society where empathy, care, and social engagement are central to healthy communities.
Programs
Children for Change offers an integrated in-school program for K-8 schools across Marin County, California, providing service learning experiences. Their curriculum is delivered once a week, and can be enriched with guest speakers, assembly presentations, and service trips. Additionally, they offer lunch and after-school club programming to extend classroom lessons into project-based learning.
The program is structured around three key components: Educate, Advocate, and Act. Students are educated on various issues, encouraged to advocate for causes they are passionate about, and empowered to take action through volunteering, fundraising, and leading by example.
