At the heart of The Reel Film Foundation lies the passion of a few first generation, indie filmmakers, committed both to encouraging the next generation of creators, and sharing diverse ideas to our community through international film screenings. Though movies have transitioned from developed film to digital video, we are left with what has always been - a story told in pictures. Our outreach shares a passion for visual storytelling with local students, who now more than ever need to learn how to use images to have voices heard, not only to self- brand on their social media. Our free filmmaking clubs help local students tell their stories, our free college counseling provides pathways to 'good fits,' in film education, and our on set mentoring opportunities lead to industry jobs that comp
