Water plays a critical role in Oregon ecosystems, from our dramatic coastline, river valleys, wetlands, high deserts, and forested mountain ranges, which stand as some of the most biologically diverse in the nation. Part of our work at WaterWatch is to ensure consistent, natural flows of cold water that support the multiple habitats and rich variety of species in Oregon and ensure healthy, biodiverse rivers. To that end, we wish you a Happy International Biodiversity Day.

A Portland writer was so inspired by our recent action alert on the potential rollback of the "harm" rule in the Endangered Species Act she penned a nationally-seen opinion piece on the matter, plus we're beginning to put auction packages together for our 40th anniversary event, we have a new Oakshire Inspires event coming up in July in Portland, and we've included another article from the spring issue of Instream and our revised business partnerships page — all in this edition of Currents.
