THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE IDAHO FALLS DOWNTOWN FOUNDATION IS TO HELP SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE IDAHO FALLS CULTURAL DISTRICT LOCATED IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN IDAHO FALLS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, FINE ARTS EDUCATION, PERFORMING ARTS, HISTORIC AND SCIENTIFIC EXHIBITS, LITERACY AND READING COMPREHENSION AND COMMUNITY DRAMA. THE IFHDF HELPS RAISE FUNDS TO PROMOTE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CULTURAL DISTRICT WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IN ADDITION, IT ADDRESSES INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS OF THE PARTICIPATING CULTURAL FACILITIES WHICH INCLUDE PARKING, OUTSIDE SEATING AMENTIES, LIGHTING, SIGNAGE AND SECURITY.
