The trust is organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purchases.Trustee gives particular consideration to the following specific areas:(a) Music (especially the symphony and the ballet), art, museums and related cultural activities, with primary concern for organizations within the Houston area;(b) Local Catholic charities (specifically including the University of St. Thomas, the Discalced Carmelite Nuns and missionary activities conducted by the Congregation of St. Basil, i.e. the Basilian Fathers' Missions);(c) The Houston Foundation for Life and related groups."No part of the grant funds is to be used to carry on propaganda, or otherwise attempt to influence legislation (within the meaning of Section 4945(d)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code), or to influence the outcome of any specific public election, or to carry on, directly or indirectly, any voter registration drive (within the meaning of Section 4945(d)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code), or to participate in or to intervene in, including publication or distribution of statements, any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office, or to make any grant which does not comply with the requirements of Sections 4945(d)(3) and 4945(d)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, or to undertake any activity for any purpose other than one specified in Section 170(c)(2)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code.
