Fuel up with Biofuels Performance Kansas Biofuels ethanol and biodiesel cost less than gasoline and petrodiesel so the higher the percentage of ethanol and biodiesel in your fuel the more you save. Environment According to the Department of Energys Argonne National Laboratory ethanol reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 34 percent compared to gasoline while biodiesel reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 86 percent.
