Arizona FireFighter Training and Certification Arizona Center forfire service excellence Shaping The Next Generation of Arizona Firefighters News 2025 FEE INCREASE NOTICE Effective 712025 Mission The mission of the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence AzCFSE is to administer stateoftheart continuing professional education courses and accredited certification testing and practical skills evaluations based on national fire service professional standards which meet the comprehensive training needs of fire and rescue personnel emergency managers and other responders enabling them to better protect lives and property within their communities. The AzCFSE provides Arizona certification for AzCFSE supports the annual Arizona Fire School and coordinates delivery of National Fire Academy NFA direct delivery classes around the State each year. The Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence AzCFSE was established in 2010 with the support of the Arizona Fire Services Institute AFSI a consensus body representing Arizonas fire services with representation from the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association AFCA Professional Firefighters of Arizona PFFA Arizona Fire District Association AFDA Volunteer Firefighters of Arizona VFFA and Metro Fire Chiefs. Daytoday management of the AzCFSE is provided by the Executive Board of the Arizona State Fire Training Committee ASFTC a 501c3 notforprofit Arizona corporation.
