Bridges From School to Work helps young people with disabilities find lasting employment. www.bridges Bridges from School to Work is singularly dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults through the power of a job. In its first quarter century it has worked with some 21,000 youth to that end. Respected, validated by research, and highly effective in the twelve communities in which it operates, Bridges currently serves about 1,000 young people a year. Bridges works to provide early, real-world work experience; a social network with caring adults that encourage employment; a job that matches employer's needs with an individual's interests and skills; and natural workplace supports that encourage participation in the social structure of the workplace.
