This is achieved through water quality monitoring, scientific understanding, public education, governmental intervention, and watershed improvements for the enhancement and preservation of the water quality and biological integrity of clean lakes.

Bear Lake Preservation Association – BLPA Keep Bear Lake Beautiful BLPA is a proactive community of residents established in 1991 to preserve the integrity quality and natural beauty of Asher Bear Little Bear and Cub Lakes. The BLPA is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Bear lake was treated with alum 15 years ago. Now BLPA is planning another treatment which is expected to bring longlasting improvements to the lake.
