Lake Area Industry Alliance is an umbrella organization for industrial facilities in Southwest Louisiana. LAIA serves as a channel of communication for member companies as well as participating in community projects. FORM 990, PART I, LINE 1: THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH PROJECTS THAT EDUCATES AND INFORM NATIONAL, STATE, LOCAL CIVIC AND OTHER LEADERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES AFFECTING, AND IMPACTING UPON BUSINESS, INDUSTRY AND TRADE; TO ENCOURAGE PRESENT AND NEW INDUSTRY TO BE GOOD STEWARDS OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND PROMOTE THE GENERAL BETTERMENT OF THE AREA; TO WORK WITH LOCAL EDUCATION LEADERS TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATION SYSTEMS TO MEET THE PRESENT AND FUTURE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.

Home - LAIA The Lake Area Industry Alliance is composed of over 25 local industries. Formed in 2000 LAIA is a channel of communication between industries and the community as well as leaders public officials educators and nonprofit organizations. OUR INITIATIVES Local industries have a positive impact in Southwest Louisiana. Good jobs great benefits security to thousands of residents in our region these are just a few of the reasons were fortunate to have industries right here at home.

Lake Area Industry Alliance
Friday, the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association presented Jim Rock, LAIA Executive Director, with their annual Liberty Bell Award. The community service award is given annually to recognize a non-lawyer who has strengthened the American system of freedom under the law. Selection focuses on recognizing someone who has rendered outstanding service to his or her community by either promoting a better understanding of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights; encouraging greater respect for laws and courts; stimulating a deeper sense of individual responsibility so that citizens recognize their duties as well as their rights; contributing to the effective functioning of our institutions of governments, or fostering a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law.
