Ziggy's Tree's mission is to give Tennessee's orphaned or injured native wildlife a second chance to return to their free and wild lives.  We accomplish this through development, implementation and maintenance of wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education programs.

Ziggy's Tree Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
Overview

Ziggy's Tree Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Located in Tullahoma, Tennessee, it plays a significant role in the local wildlife conservation efforts.

Mission and Services

The center aims to inspire the public to live in harmony with wildlife by offering public education and habitat conservation programs. It annually cares for over 1,000 animals, helping them recover and eventually be released back into the wild. The organization operates under the guidance of licensed wildlife rehabilitators who are trained to manage and care for various species of wildlife.

Operations and Impact

As a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center, Ziggy's Tree follows strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both humans and animals. The organization emphasizes the importance of proper handling and care for injured wildlife, discouraging individuals from attempting to care for such animals without proper permits and expertise. By involving the community in its mission, Ziggy's Tree contributes to a broader understanding and appreciation of the interconnectedness of human and wildlife environments.

Educational and Community Outreach

Beyond its rehabilitation services, Ziggy's Tree engages in educational initiatives and community programs. These efforts focus on raising awareness about wildlife conservation and promoting sustainable coexistence between humans and wildlife. By integrating environmental education into its mission, the center encourages public participation and support for wildlife preservation.

Legal and Operational Framework

Operating as a nonprofit, Ziggy's Tree adheres to all relevant state and federal regulations regarding wildlife care and rehabilitation. This includes compliance with Tennessee state law and federal regulations that prohibit keeping wild animals without a proper license or permit. The organization's activities are designed to ensure both the safety of the public and the well-being of the wildlife in their care.

What I appreciate most about Eduo is its neutrality and inclusivity. It doesn't push any agenda — just provides tools for people to explore and support what matters to them.
