GTiYO shares its mission to bridge cultural diversity through musical performance. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION SHALL BE TO ORGANIZE PARTICIPATION IN AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN WHICH MUSICALLY TALENTED YOUTH IN THE TOLEDO AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS MAY LEARN ALL ASPECTS OF BEING A MEMBER OF AN INTERNATIONAL YOUTH GROUP BY REPRESENTING THEIR COMMUNITY, DOMESTICALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY, AS MUSICAL AMBASSADORS BY PLAYING CONCERTS AND ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES INCIDENTAL THERETO.

Founded in 2013 by Yang Kun Song the GTiYO is a string orchestra that performs a diverse repertoire including traditional and modern Chinese music as well as Western compositions. Our students travel the world to perform and experience other cultures in the pursuit of the GTiYO mission of Bridging Cultural Diversity through Music Performance. Learn More The GTIYO is proud to be partners with the University of Toledo. Through this partnership we have access to amazing faculty topnotch rehearsal space at UTs Center for Performing Arts and an amazing concert venue with the UT Doermann Theater.
