Tony Evers dubbed 2025 the “Year of the Kid,” and his budget would boost funding for Child Care Counts and for school districts to offer all-day kindergarten for 4-year-olds, called 4K. “I know that the Republicans took it back out of the budget, but it's essential to the Wisconsin economy.
