Kate Welshofer has graduated to college gigs! Kate has been announced as this year’s commencement speaker at Genesee Community College. Kate is now the owner of Welshofer Creative LLC. Plug in the klieg lights! The premier of Jacqueline Albarella’s documentary “Defying Death on the Atlantic” is just a few weeks away. The doc explores the danger that four WNY military veterans faced when their hightech rowboat failed during a race on the high seas forcing them to face 30-foot waves in a tiny dinghy. The crew remarkably had the presence of mind to video segments of their life defying adventure and Albarella was able to produce a gripping documentary that will premiere nationwide on PBS Memorial Day weekend. Buffalo native William Fichtner narrates the film. Scott and Kathy Bieler graciously funded the local rowers and the documentary that follows.
