Honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Maintaining the National Historic Landmark, USS KIDD (DD-661). USS KIDD Veterans Museum preserves and maintains the historic naval ship USS KIDD as an icon for continued interpretation of her unique role in U.S. military history. The Museum educates the Louisiana public of the role that its residents have played in U.S. military history and stresses the importance of patriotism and of having a strong military to defend, fight for, and protect our democracy and freedom. The Museum informs our Louisiana public of challenges currently faced by veterans.
