WOIA is a playful spin on the word warrior. As tribal people we honor the spirit of the warrior in all we do to protect Mother Earth. Although it was originally conceived from combining the first letter of the states tribes we serve Washington Oregon Idaho Alaska we are exploring other meaningful ways to express WOIA so it reflects our oranizations Indigenous values as well as clearly announces our mission.
