Somali Youth United's Mission is to strengthen and motivate the youth to ensure they acquire abilities and skills to participate in civic engagement and to assist the youth in developing an effective voice that benefits the daily life of their communities while embracing and retaining their own tradition and culture thereby learning to reconcile the two worlds in which they now live.SYU is a community based organization in San Diego California. This organization's focus is on bringing unity to the community through various activities including community outreach, youth empowerment, intellectual conferences, and a host of other programs. Our goal is to empower and demonstrate nationalistic pride as well as instill a sense of gratitude among our youth to be involved in our community through various activities.
