This training and support also provides career opportunities to people in these communities so that pregnant, postpartum, and birthing people receive services provided by people who share similar culture, history, and community. Every person should have access to information and techniques that will help them have safe, healthy pregnancies. They should be given the opportunity to thrive emotionally and physically during this transformational time in their lives.
