Maasai Girls Fund
No more child brides! No more genital cutting! Our fund sends Maasai girls to the safety of school. We prevent the removal of Maasai girls' exterior genitalia, and the child marriage that traditionally follows in 2 rural villages. Working with our African partners - local elders of the villages - we now send 50+girls to school. In addition, we help one home village with vital infrastructure and emergencies. Examples include, bringing water into the village, funding supplies for outhouses, food seeds, solar panels , emergency medical expenses, and, during extreme drought, emergency food supplies. Our sponsored students attend Naramatisho ('The Nurturing Place') elementary school. After 8th grade each l is placed in a high schools according her national test results. Two of our sponsored students are now attending the highest level, Kenyan National High Schools
