LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFFS VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION

The LASDVA was established on January 14, 1999 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation supportive of the LA Sheriff's Department, focused on programs for public safety and for the deterrence of crime. Our association is focused on providing training instruction to LA Sheriff Department Volunteers and also providing safety equipment. Achievements • Produced six law enforcement volunteer training conferences o Instructors from LASD, FBI, LA District Attorney, El Monte PD, US Customs and Border Protection, LA Habra PD, Anaheim PD o Attendees from 23 Southern California law enforcement agencies (including most LASD stations) • Produced “Code-3 Cookbook" fundraising project • Purchased collapsible traffic cones for VOP vehicles • Purchased military-style identification dog tags for volunteers
