to alleviate poverty for low-income citizens through strategic planning and implementing projects and services that strengthen, promote quality, renew, and guide families into self-sufficiency.  We also work to promote the education and welfare of community residents; promote and develop economic opportunities in the community; to reward itself and the community of benefits conferred by public law; and to mobilize human and financial resources as they become available to combat poverty and economic insecurity in the community.
