Loveland Learning Garden
Our mission is to foster lifelong connections to the wonders of the natural world. Loveland Learning Garden exists to foster lifelong connections to the wonders of the natural world. To support this goal, we maintain gardens (vegetable, herbs, perennials) and a nature trail on school grounds which we use as outdoor, hands on learning laboratories teaching 1st-4th graders lessons aligned with grade level curriculums across science, math, social studies language arts and health. Students are given the opportunity to observe, investigate and directly experience nature. In addition to tasting fresh produce and building a foundation for healthy eating, students contribute to the local community by donating food grown in the schoolyard garden to the local food pantry.
