PROVIDE A MEETING FORUM THREE TIMES A YEAR FOR OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION PERSONNEL TO EXCHANGE AND DISCUSS IDEAS AND NEW PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOLDS THREE FUND RAISER EVENTS A YEAR IN ORDER TO AWARD COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS.

The East Texas Chapter of the API was founded in 1968 and provides scholarships to children of individuals affiliated with the oil and gas industry.
