2025 Choreo-Lab Fellow Swetha Prabakaran (she/her) brings storytelling, tradition, and innovation into bold conversation through dance. As creator of the “Modern Natya” method and founder of Swetha Prabakaran Productions, Swetha’s work bridges Bharatanatyam and modern dance to amplify South Asian diasporic narratives and champion disability justice. She is a current Voices of Bhakti Fellow and dancer with Urban Jazz Dance Company.

AXIS Artistic Director Nadia Adame is headed to Dance/USA. She’ll be joining Jane Raleigh, Maura LaRiviere, and Vanessa Hernández Cruz to present “Access Guide to Presenting and Touring the Performing Arts” — a hybrid session designed to support venues and presenters in making their spaces truly accessible to disabled artists, administrators, and audiences. This conversation is part of the long-overdue work to ensure the dance world is inclusive from the ground up.
