GB Central Emergency Response Fund-a humanitarian fund created by Global Bank Group for all nations and victims of disasters focusing on urgent needs and working toward longer-term recovery by providing predictable and equitable funding to those affected by natural disasters and other complex humanitarian emergencies. Mission:Address natural and man-made humanitarian emergencies focusing on urgent needs and work toward longer-term recovery. Objective:Promote early action and response to reduce the loss of life and enhance response to time-critical requirements strengthening core elements of humanitarian response in underfunded crises based on demonstrable needs and priorities as appropriate.Purpose:Ensure a more predictable, flexible and timely response to complex humanitarian emergencies
