Indepth Information and Live Local Updates for the Outer Banks Manteo Preservation Trust Manteo Preservation Trust MPT in Manteo Outer Banks on Roanoke Island was formed 20 years ago as a nonprofit 501c3 by a group of citizens who wanted to bring higher awareness to the public about Manteos historic cultural and architectural heritage. Our town is rich with ties to boat building fishing and generational families that have brought a cultural continuity that deserves to be preserved and protected. MPTs mission is to take the lead in telling our towns story so that in partnership with citizens and elected officials the history thats held within our homes businesses parks and community buildings is around for years to come.
