La Escuelita our newest program Magnolia Park Arts is reviving the Escuelita a Hispanic community tradition dating back to the 1880s. The result of responses to a 2021 community survey funded by the Hogg Foundation the Escuelita engages local adolescents in a culturally relevant reading and arts enrichment program. The pilot program will run on Saturday mornings throughout the summer of 2024. Participants will read about MexicanHispanic history and create art together.
