LEAGUE FOR ANIMALS AND PEOPLE OF THE SUMMIT
League for Animals & People of the Summit/LAPS has a mission to prevent pet overpopulation and the needless euthanasia of helpless animals by offering $100 vouchers or 80% coverage for spay/neuter for local family pets & we subsidize all spay/neuter at our local Shelter. LAPS also provides financial aid to low income families for unexpected high vet bills. Most of us probably haven’t experienced the tragedy of a pet becoming ill or hurt and having to lose that loved one simply for lack of funds to pay the veterinarian. Now there is hope and its name is LAPS. LAPS is an all-volunteer group with no paid staff, no office space, no computers, printers or phones, other than what’s in the homes of our Board members, who donate their free time, making LAPS a vital presence in our community.
