The GLC is dedicated to supporting people of all ages in the Eel River Valley through the pursuit of art, education, health and wellness. To Gather. To Learn. To Be. The ERV Community Center Foundation runs and manages all aspects of the "McLean Campus", Gene Lucas Community Center (GLC), and NORCAN. This campus is privately owned and operated! The Mel and Grace McLean Foundation was created by the McLean's to benefit the residents of Humboldt County, California, in all or any of the following ways: Benefit Christian religious programs/institutions; Funding educational programs and facilities particularly benefiting those who are or have been employed in timber industry; Medical care and research; Programs and facilities to enhance the lives of children and the elderly; City and Community projects; Preservation of the history of Humboldt County particularly the timber, logging, and sawmill industry; Environmental projects that are not detrimental to the timber, agric., or fishing industries; Arts and humanities; Other projects consistent with the charitable purpose of the Foundation.
