TEAM SURVIVOR CALIFORNIA
We paddle for TEAM Survivor San Diego. Sea Dragons are women survivors of all cancers. Recent research has proven the benefits of exercise for people who are undergoing or have undergone cancer treatment. TEAM Survivor California (TSCA) aims to make regular exercise a fun, convenient and supportive experience for women affected by cancer. Our group exercise programs are free to new participants for at least her first year and are designed to accommodate women of all fitness and experience levels. Some of our participants are exercising for the first time in their lives. Dragon boat paddling in particular, combines great fitness activity with synchronized teamwork resulting in a feeling of camaraderie rarely found in life and an ongoing sense of healing for women living with cancer. Together, we are proof that people with cancer can not only survive; but can truly thrive!
