Southwest Creative Studio

Southwest Creative Studio is an art education center whose mission is to provide pathways to healing through art and advocate for youth mentorship. We have educational art programs in Chicago Public Schools, through After School Matters in Chicago, and at our studio in Chicago. We service all ages of youth and connect families in need to resources. We also produce a youth mentorship program that hosts 3-4 cohorts of teens per year to help them achieve their project goals and work together to build life skills and give back to their community. Our other tier works with communities to make large-scale public art works that help bring business, safety, and community to neighborhoods. Additionally, we teach adult classes, host ongoing free art engagements for families, and have a team of local business vendors that we allow to sell goods at our community events. All of our work is to promote healing in communities that need it most on the Southwest Side of chicago through art/creativity.
