Working for a wild Yaakthrough science education and bold action URGENT PROJECTS The Yaak Valley Forest Council is currently hard at work on these projects. The Forest Service logging project threatening more than 4000 acres of the Yaak Valley. Classified as a subboreal inland rainforest the Yaak Valley has a rich ecological biodiversity allowing this valley to be a carbon sink and refuge for a multitude of species. The Yaak Valley Forest Council is working to reroute the scenic trail out of critical grizzly bear habitat.
