On the first Sunday of each month, Montavilla Jazz offers a unique educational opportunity for high school students at The 1905 in partnership with Christopher Brown: Behind the Scene includes a brief performance by the acclaimed Christopher Brown Quartet, a one-hour Q&A, and a 90-minute jam session open to all student musicians and their choice of charts. Since its inception, Behind the Scene participants have benefited from tried-and-true exercises for individual and ensemble growth and efficiency, local connections with other musicians, and receiving real-time feedback from professionals with over 80 years of collective experience.
