Stitches from the Heart
Stitches From the Heart is an organization that helps fill the gap between mommy's tummy and baby's first jumper. Founded in July. of 2000, and made up of over 2,800 volunteers nationwide, Stitches From The Heart has helped to keep over 60,000 premature babies warm on their trip home from the hospital. We knit, crochet, and quilt tiny booties, hats, sweaters and blankets, and donate them to more than 325 hospitals and charities nationwide. SFTH's goal is to eventually be able to help provide warm soft clothing for the 436,000 premature children born in the United States each year.
