Current Problems | Cleanups | Gainesville FL

Cleaning North Florida Waterways for 30 years! Current Problems is a non profit organization based out of Gainesville, Florida. We have been working to clean the rivers, lakes, and streams of North Central Florida for over 27 years through watershed cleanups often involving large debris waste removal, and water quality outreach and education programs. To this day, 20,000 volunteers serving their communities have removed 885,000 pounds of waste from Florida’s waterways. Our mission is to preserve and protect the water resources of North Central Florida for the wellbeing of wildlife and community through action, awareness, and education. Current Problems was established in 1993 when a small group of friends began working together to clean up the debris and contaminants in and along the banks of north Florida’s Santa Fe River.
