𝕋𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕋𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕠𝕚𝕤𝕖 Today on #WorldTurtleDay, we’re celebrating science, teamwork, and one of Madagascar’s most iconic reptiles. Wildlife Madagascar student Safidy Andrianelson recently teamed up with two veterinary students from Women Rise Wildlife Research to study the diversity and density of internal parasites affecting both wild and captive radiated tortoises (𝘈𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘢). Together, they tracked these Critically Endangered tortoises through the spiny desert of southwest Madagascar, collecting vital health and demographic data.
