ISA: The International Studies Association

We will no longer be posting on this platform. International Studies Association - A community of international studies scholars. Since its founding in 1959, ISA has evolved from a largely North American association to a truly global community of scholars and practitioners. ISA is deeply interdisciplinary, with thirty study sections ranging from foreign policy analysis to feminist theory and gender studies, global health, human rights, security studies and much more. ISA also embodies and embraces diversity in all forms, including four caucuses that advocate for their members and provide forums for inclusion and belonging for all members of ISA. We are organized into seven regional groupings that encompass almost all parts of the globe. To serve this diverse community of scholars and practitioners, ISA now hosts a dozen conferences around the world annually, publishes eight peer-reviewed journals.
