Did you know bees are responsible for pollinating approximately one-third of the food we consume? 🐝 For her #gsGoldAward project, Alexa from Tampa raised awareness about the vital role of pollinators and promoted environmental stewardship. She partnered with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to design and build a pollinator garden filled with flowers to support bees, butterflies and other species. She also created a kindness rock garden to encourage community engagement. To expand her impact, Alexa developed a Linktree page with educational resources and presented information to students of all ages. Despite setbacks from damaging hurricanes, she remained committed and restored the garden to ensure its sustainability.
