Blanco County Emergency Services Auxiliary
The Blanco County Emergency Services Auxiliary is a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports Blanco County Emergency Services District No. 2's (ESD2) Fire & EMS. The primary mission of the Auxiliary is to increase awareness of and raise funds for the District, providing community education in fire safety and wellness, and providing support for emergency personnel during prolonged incident operations. Blanco is located in the Texas Hill Country and is primarily a rural area. The Fire and EMS departments' basic operational expenses are covered through taxes collected by the Blanco County ESD2 (of every $100 of appraised land value, the ESD receives 10 cents). The Auxiliary helps raise money for the capital budget items not covered by taxes and 100% of all funds raised go to ESD2.
