History

The club was founded by 20 individuals who each contributed $20 to purchase a J-2 Piper Cub for $400. This initiative aimed to encourage interest in aviation, promote safe and economical flying for its members, and assist members in advancing their aviation skills.

Structure and Operations

Members can schedule aircraft use through a web-based system and are billed based on Tach time. The club also organizes social events, such as a spring social dance and "Hangar Talk" educational sessions during winter. Additionally, it hosts aircraft wash-and-wax barbecues during summer.

Special Programs

The club offers a "Pinch Hitter" course designed for spouses and significant others of members. This program includes a free ground school session and optional paid flight training.
