Historic Garden League – Historic Gardens in Monterey Bringing History Alive Preserving the Historic Gardens of Old Monterey The Historic Garden League is dedicated to restoring and maintaining the gardens of historic Monterey to enhance the knowledge and appreciation of Old Montereys unique historical buildings and gardens. Restore Maintain Enhance Beauty in the Garden Casa del Oro Garden The Historic Garden League in conjunction with the State Historical Park maintains this lovely garden located at the corner of Scott and Pacific streets in Monterey. Plantings vary from seasontoseason and yeartoyear allowing for a continually evolving garden. The name of the garden Casa del Oro house of gold sets the stage for its stunning color scheme multiple hues of yellow surrounded by accents of blues purples and oranges.
