What an amazing era it’s been! Currently the Public Education & Engagement Senior Manager, Rosie Briggs was hired at Eco-Cycle in 2017 as a campaigns intern, and since then she has recruited and trained over a thousand Eco-Leaders in our community. Last week, Rosie had the opportunity to say goodbye to many of them at a gathering in Boulder before she moves out of state. Though Rosie is very sad to be parting (geographically) with her Zero Waste friends, she and everyone at Eco-Cycle are thrilled to see the baton passed to new hire Lex Shannon, who, as you can see, is a long-lost sister. Donating edible food compliments composting of non-edible food scraps and yard trimmings and is a powerful action we need to take to divert organics from Colorado landfills. Learn more about the power of food rescue and how we can do more in Colorado by utilizing these unique diversion networks on June 4 of the Recycle Colorado Summit for Recycling.
