Non-profit founded at @MIT bringing open-source, privacy-preserving technology and public health solutions to contain future pandemics. Research: @PathCheckR Founded at MIT, we create privacy-first, open technology for public health and street medicine teams. Overcoming gaps in public health knowledge and coordination through the development of privacy-first, open source technology to build trust in data sharing and improve timing of risk communication between public health agencies and their citizens. The PathCheck Foundation also conducts research in health policy and computational epidemiology through its institutes: Data Informatics Center of Epidemiology (DICE), and Institute of Technology and Global Health (ITGH). The PathCheck Foundation was founded in 2020 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and has since served the ongoing health technology needs of several public health agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and its member states.

Our work COVID19 SafePaths COVID19 SafePaths is an Android and iOS app that allows users to download aggregated and anonymized location data from infected individuals. By comparing these trails with their own location history users can easily determine if theyve been in close proximity to someone who later tested positive for COVID19. The app is designed to securely capture and share relevant information with a strong focus on privacy and an opensource backend.
