Galveston-Houston Immigration Representation Project Advocating for Immigrant Justice How we help Donate Our Impact Not having an attorney during an immigration court hearing would be like going unarmed into war without the necessary ammunition to ensure you or your familys safety. During my hearings before the judge of which there were three that lasted about 20 hours Elizabeth was a mentor. She guided and defended me with great intelligence wisdom assurance and tenacity before every official we encountered in the process. We were never alone.

🚨 Important statement from #GHIRP: Last night, government officials woke up over one hundreds of #Guatemalan #children in detention facilities across the country in a calculated effort to expeditiously and illegally deport them to #Guatemala. They did this with virtually no notice, in the middle of the night, on a holiday weekend. Many of these children are in the middle of their court process, have a right to seek protection in the #US, and have survived human trafficking or persecution in their home country.
