The purpose of the American Ex-Prisoners of War is to foster programs to highlight the service of those American military and civilian persons held in captivity or interned by enemies of the United States because of their US citizenship, and to sustain the legacy of the POW experience.The organization is dedicated to assisting the returning POWs and their families; and to educate the public and maintain historical records.Through fraternal activities, the organization will foster patriotism, loyalty, and allegiance to the United States of America and defend her from all enemies.
